SHOOT-DON’T SHOOT SCENARIOS / COGNITIVE

Service Description

CCW holders, fulfil the requirements to obtain their carry permits, and one of the requisites is to pass a shooting qualification, "on a stationary paper target!" Nothing can be more far from reality than such requisite! Home defenders keep their guns locked in safes, not readily accessible, and barely go to the range to practice, and whenever they go shooting, "they shoot at stationary paper targets," which offer no stress, or stimuli! Most of violent encounters will occur within a distance between 10 to 3 yards, and it will be fast, and violent. In this class: - Students will be exposed to a VST (Video Scenario Training), where they will face virtual scenarios, in order to apply de-escalation techniques, or make use of lethal force to protect themselves and others. -Students will face realistic force-on-force scenarios using non-lethal training ammo, where they must react and defend themselves against simulated attacks. - We will close the training day with students shooting live fire, in a simulated shoot-house, where they will engage "dynamic moving targets," and will make a decision to engage with deadly force, or not. - Live fire drills to entice cognitive response to defensive shooting We will also cover: - Cardinal Rules of Firearms safety Review - Safe Handling of Firearms Review - CQD (Close Quarters Defense) - Defensive Shooting (Before/During/After) - Defensive Shooting and Its Consequences (Legal/Psychological/Financial) - Sighted vs. Unsighted Shooting Techniques - Accuracy vs. Precision related to speed - The Tueller Theory (21 Feet Drill) Equipment Required: - Full size and compact pistols only - Outside the Waistband (OWB) Holster / Inside the Waistband (IWB) Holster / Belt / Magazine pouches - At Least Three (3) Magazines - Eyes and Ears Protection - Comfortable Shoes - Long Sleeve Shirt (To be worn through the Force-on-Force portion) - Sunscreen / Hat / Folding Chair - Water / Food / Snacks - 150 Rounds of ammunition CLASS PRICE $500.00 - NON-REFUNDABLE (STUDENT CAN RESCHEDULE THE CLASS ONE TIME).
